Miguel Sumera came to Australia in 1987 from the Phillipines.

He is currently a third year student at UTS, studying a B Arts in Communication majoring in Social Inquiry.

He has previously held positions as the Ethnocultural and Sexuality Officer at the UTS Students Association. He has organised some high profile activist actions including the Equalisation of the Age of Consent in NSW 2003, making the front cover of many publications and featured in the Sydney Star Observer Year in Review 2003. He is currently a contributing writer for SX Youth and a freelance designer.
