In recognition of the 40th Anniversary of the Ethnic Communities’ Council of NSW, the Board initiated this year a full review of the organisation. This review encompassed all aspects of the organisation and re affirmed the need for us to be an agile, relevant and representative NGO in the multicultural space.

The result is the Strategic Plan, which was officially launched on the 12th of November at NSW Parliament House by our Patron, the Minister for Multiculturalism the Hon John George Ajaka MLC.

Through this document, the ECC will be able to maintain its position as the pre-eminent member based representative body in multicultural Australia. This Strategic Plan, to be implemented from 2016-2018, addresses the following key result areas:

1. Outreach, Collaboration, Action and Advocacy

2. Empowerment and Capacity Building

3. Harnessing the Legacy, Broadening the Reach and Strengthening the Governance
