Jenny Bray

National Manager SML "Living well with disability"
Jenny Bray is the Speak My Language Living Well with a Disability, National  Manager, to co-lead with Ms Terrie Leoleos. She has worked in the community sector for over 28 years. She has extensive experience in the aged care, health and disability service sectors (early intervention and adult services), advocacy for older people and people with disability, and Local Government.  Her experience ranges from a thorough understanding of direct service delivery issues, through to an understanding of national, state-wide and local government policy issues.
 
Jenny has delivered many projects for and with multicultural and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations. She is the author of many conference papers, articles and reports relating to culturally appropriate service delivery, including the chapter on Cultural Competency in Aged Care in Australia: a guide for aged care workers, second edition, a textbook for aged care workers, and the Scoping Study for Preventing or Responding to Elder Abuse in CALD Communities (for Ethnic Communities Council of NSW and Seniors’ Rights Service).   Jenny is a firm advocate for the Principles of Multiculturalism and the inclusion of people with disability.
