ECC member and Vice Chair since 2009.  Member of the Management Committee of Marrickville Football Club, member of Marrickville Council’s Multicultural Advisory Committee, President of Community Welfare First and a member of Amnesty International and Red Cross. Mr Ahmed represents ECC on the DIAC Client Consultative Group at Villawood Immigration Detention Facility and at the NSW Community Liaison meetings of the Migration Review & Refugee Review Tribunals.
